Riverdale High School Senior Drowns In Percy Priest Lake

NASHVILLE, TN — A little more than a week before his graduation, a 19-year-old Riverdale High School student drowned in Percy Priest Lake Friday. Searchers found the body of Corey Polk, who was set to graduate from the Murfreesboro high school May 19, around 10:20 Friday night, two hours after he went missing. Police say Polk was climbing and jumping from rocks around a cove in the lake and trying to swim across the cove, but did not make it. NORTH GEORGIA (WRCB) – A north Georgia family is speaking up about their loved one’s killer possibly being granted parole next month. Judith Ann Neelley from Murfreesboro, Tennessee was convicted in the 1982 kidnapping and murder of 13-year-old Lisa Ann Millican. Neelley is currently serving a life sentence in Alabama. Lisa’s family plans on attending the parole board hearing on May 23, in Montgomery. Their goal is to be a voice for her. MURFREESBORO, TN — The annual household hazardous waste drop-off for Rutherford County is scheduled for April 7 at the Murfreesboro City Solid Waste Department on Florence Road.
