He's my only hope,
and he just might become my last.
Silver and lace can't last forever;
One day you'll realize what I've been trying to tell you all along.

Maybe we'll talk for a while,
and we can trade stories and laugh at the other.
But make sure I'm worth it when you tell me you love me.
It can fall deeper than you might think.

I'll think about you all day,
and talk to the part of me that's lying.
The truth reveals that you're just another boy;
You're this years big thing,
and it's dangerous to follow trends.

You've got those pretty words on your lips,
and you can get away with anything.
I'll find the darkest sides and the most exaggerated lies,
but ignorance is the simplest form of pleasure.

So, maybe we'll talk for a while tonight.
I'll second guess myself,
and decide that maybe I really do love you.

You're her favorite venom,
and boy, she poisons herself every night.
It kills her inside; just like love.
Addiction is a bitch, but so is the drug.

the last stanza of this piece,
is possibly my most favorite line that i've ever written.
