I have now completed upgrading important software on the website.

Including:

Joomla software - This is the content management system upon which the website is based. We have upgraded to the latest version.

IDOBlog - This is the software which handles all content posted to the website. We have updated to the latest release with key bug fixes.

Video - We are now using a new component to display video. I'll post new details soon.

Finally I am now looking at various server packages and will notify you shortly on the sequence of events for the upgrade procedure. I have identified one pack which may be suitable for us to move to a dedicated server.

Thanks, I'm not sure the tummy has any plans to leave though.

The next real improvement will be the move to a dedicated server. This should speed up access to the site and provide a stable connection etc. But it's also a first for me so I'm doing plenty of research.

Good work John. I like the current editor and a server that kills the 500 errors will be nice. i think I have gotten 500 of those 500s, i bet you got tired of them to.

The current editor is better than the previous one, but far from perfect. This will be assessed on an ongoing basis. I'll always be looking to improve the services.

We are moving to a dedicated server, currently working through technical issues with the hosting company. I'll show off about the features when I have more details. This will probably happen next week, it will most likely mean the site will be down for a few days during the transfer though.
